To ensure backups occur as scheduled, the computer must be powered on and not in sleep or hibernation mode. Additionally, the user must be logged into their profile. If these conditions are not met, the backup will be postponed. However, you can configure BigMIND to wake the computer at the backup time using the Windows Task Scheduler.
How to Configure BigMIND to Wake the Computer for Scheduled Backups
- Follow the steps here to schedule the backup using the On Schedule option.
- Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
- In the Run dialog, type taskschd.msc and press Enter. The Task Scheduler window will open.
- From the left-side panel of the Windows Task Scheduler, click Task Scheduler Library.
- Double-click the BigMIND Start Backup task to open its properties window.
- From the General tab and under the Security options, select the Run whether user is logged on or not option.
- From the Conditions tab and under the Power section, select the Wake the computer to run this task option.
- Click the OK button. The Task Scheduler will ask you to enter the login password of your Windows user profile. Please do and click OK.
