Introduction
BigMIND allows the account administrator to configure global settings that apply to all data, machines, and users within the account. These settings include:
- Retention Settings
- Client Storage Alerts Settings
- Emails Language
Retention Settings
BigMIND offers robust backup features, including the following:
- Incremental backup with versioning.
- The deleted files are kept in the cloud.
So, over time, the backup size can grow significantly due to multiple versions and retained deleted files. To manage this, BigMIND provides a retention option that helps users purge unnecessary versions and deleted files, optimizing cloud storage usage. (Learn more)
Client Storage Alerts Settings
When the storage of a BigMIND account is running low, the default behavior is to display alert notifications within the BigMIND desktop application installed on devices linked to the account. However, the account administrator has the ability to manage whether these storage alert messages are shown on the installed BigMIND desktop applications by adjusting the Client Storage Alerts Settings as follows:
- Log in to the BigMIND web console as an admin user.
- On the left-side menu, click Settings.
- Scroll down to the Client Storage Alerts Settings section.
- Enable/disable the Hide storage alerts on BigMIND desktop client option.
- Click the Save Settings button there.
Email Language
Users added to a BigMIND account will receive various types of emails related to the BigMIND service. By default, these system emails are in English. However, the administrator can change the email language to one of the other supported languages—Spanish or Italian—by following these steps:
- Log in to the BigMIND web console as an admin user.
- On the left-side menu, click Settings.
- Scroll down to the Emails Language section.
- Select the desired language from the drop-down menu there.
- Click the Save Settings button there.
