Definition

Network Bandwidth Throttling permits the regulation of the bandwidth consumption by the BigMIND service during the upload process.

Activation of the Bandwidth Throttling feature results in a slowdown of the backup process.

How to Enable/Disable Multithreaded Upload

Method 1: Using the BigMIND Desktop Application

1. Open the BigMIND application.
2. From BigMIND’s Dashboard, click on Settings.
3. From the left-side panel, select the Resource Optimization option.
4. Enable or disable the Enable Bandwidth Throttling feature based on your preferences.
5. Click the Save button.

Method 2: Via the BigMIND Web Console

1. Sign in to your BigMIND web console as an admin user.
2. From the left-side menu, click Policies.
3. Create a new policy, or select to edit an existing one.
4. Refer to the Settings tab, and scroll down to the Bandwidth Throttling section.
5. Enable or disable the Enable Bandwidth Throttling feature based on your preferences.
6. Click the Save button to save the changes.
